About Me

Hey there! I am a freelance blogger trying to keep a record of my life experiences. I love to visit new places, see new sights, and experience new things… all on a budget! I started this blog as a way to keep my friends with me when I do travel, and to give advice on the places I see and the things I do. It has grown into a catch-all for what comes to mind!

I want to get to know people on a personal level, stay with locals, do what they do. I love to explore, and come from a long line of pirates and vikings. It is important to step outside the box without stepping away from who you are. I hope that you can join me on my journey, and share your own journey with me!

I believe the keys to happiness are flexibility and optimism. Through travel, exploration, and friendship, we learn who we really are and what is truly important to us (because if anything is REALLY that important, we will find a way to make it happen). I have visited Mexico, Russia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy,  Holland, Canada, Jordan, Israel, Turkey and Germany… and I don’t plan to stop there! Anyone can find their own way to wander. World peace can only come through world perspective. Asalaam o’alaikum!

  1. I feel the same way and that it is important to bring this outlook to our children. The more you see the more open you are to understanding and excepting others.

  2. Excellent attitude leveraging travel & exploration & friendship to introspect ourselves and seek happiness in process. You’ve visited some great places. From a learning aspect you might want to include some diversity in your travel destinations. 🙂

  3. Hi! Thank you for following my blog. It’s great to meet other people with a passion for travel. Do you have any plans to visit India?

    • My brother spent last summer there, and my mother lived in Thailand as a child, visiting India on short trips. I would love to visit India, but it is not an immediate plan. My next stop is Jordan this August! What are your future plans for travel?

  4. Sounds great, I look forward to hopefully reading a blog of yours in Jordan!
I’ve always wanted to visit Italy, but I guess I still have a lot to learn about India first!
Good luck and I look forward to reading your next post.

    • Italy is an incredible destination! You get to enjoy the slow pace of life (and at first get very frustrated that nothing gets done in a timely fashion). I’m sure it will feel like a night-and-day difference from India! How long have you been there for? I have always wanted to enjoy a really long stay somewhere. I spent 2 months in Italy and will spend 3 months in Jordan, and am looking forward to that, but really wish I could spend a year or more abroad!

  5. I like the helpful info you provide in your articles.
I’ll bookmark your blog and check again here regularly. I’m
quite certain I’ll learn lots of new stuff right here! Best of luck for the next!
